Runescape, the free MMORPG game that millions play every day, has over two dozen different skills that can be leveled up and evolved. Many MMORPG games place a cap on how many skills a player can have, but Runescape does not. A player can buff all of them to the maximum of 99 should they feel like it, and be rewarded with a Cape of Achievement for the honor.
Maximizing two or more of the skills will show the player in a trimmed Cape of Achievement instead of a regular one. For the skill of defense there are five different classes that can be used. The defense skill will tell the player how much protection he or she has against a certain type of attack. Defense skills are the same as Attack skills, except that it shows the range of protection instead of the intensity of the attack.
The Runsescape Stab Setting
The number that is found by the “Stab” setting will tell the protection level against this type of attack. It is protection against those attacks that stab, such as spears and daggers.
The Runescape Slash Setting
There will be another number by “Slash” that shows how well protected the player is against a slashing attack, such as swords and claw type weaponry.
The Runescape Crush Setting
There will also be a number by the “crush” in the listing. This shows protection against blunt mauling type of weaponry such as a mace or a punch with a hand.
The Runescape Magic Setting
The number that will be next to “magic” will show the protection that the player has against any magic attacks. This raises the chance that a magical attack against the player will miss its target. This also goes for dragon’s fire too.
The Runescape Range Setting
The number that is by the “range” section shows the protection against a ranged attack. This includes any darts from crossbows and arrows from normal bows.
Prayer in Runescape
The number that is seen next to the “prayer” section of the listing will show the protection that the player has. It is for how fast or slow the prayer skill number will drain from the player. There are also some Weapons that help the Runescape Prayer Skill that can be used to good effect to influence their strength in the Prayer skill.
As can be noticed, there is something for every type of player. There are the close combat melee warfare skills and the ranged attacks; there are the powerful blunt force skills and the holy prayer abilities. Whichever play style suits the player, there is definitely something for everyone. Knowing what the numbers that are in this section mean will definitely improve the player’s gaming experience.
