Exalted Reputation with the Hydraxian WaterlordsWorld of Warcraft Acheivements for the Alliance and the Horde
The Hydraxian Waterlords is perhaps the most difficult of all, not just classic, factions to become exalted with, and will take some time and determination.
Both the Horde and the Alliance can gain reputation with the Hydraxian Waterlords, and there is an achievement for becoming exalted with them. It is certainly not a very common achievement seen in the game. Quests for Hydraxian Waterlords?Currently the Hydraxian Waterlords do not have any base or camp in the game like other factions do. There used to be a quest line from a NPC called Lord Hydraxis in Azshara, however this was removed in a recent patch. As there is no base or representatives of the faction there are no items to hand in for reputation either. Whether this will change with the next expansion pack and subsequent patches remains to be seen. Neutral Reputation with the Hydraxian WaterlordsAs with the majority of factions a player will start of as neutral with the Hydraxian Waterlords. Up until a player reaches honoured status, some mobs in Silithus will grant a little bit of reputation with the Hydraxian Waterlords, but there is not a huge number of these mobs. As soon as a player is honoured there will be no more reputation granted for this faction in Silithus. Hydraxian Waterlords and Molten CoreAs there is no longer a quest line with the Hydraxian Waterlords, the most effective way of gaining reputation will involve a large number of trips to the level 60 raid instance Molten Core. After a player gains honoured status, Molten Core is the only method of boosting reputation with the Hydraxian Waterlords. At least three well geared and experienced level 80 players are required for Molten Core, at a minimum, the more players that go the better, also it is advantageous for any level appropriate guild members to come along for lots of experience and nice epic loot drops. It is advantageous if a player is also trying to gain exalted reputation with the Thorium Brotherhood as a number of drops from Molten Core can be handed in with this faction. The majority of mobs in Molten Core will grant 20 reputation when killed, whilst others, like the larger Molten Giants will grant 40 reputation, and much more from the bosses. As there is an immense number of mobs in Molten Core a player’s reputation will increase rapidly and after a few complete runs, will become revered. Revered Status with the Hydraxian WaterlordsOnce a player does reach revered status, normal mobs in Molten Core will no longer grant any reputation when killed, only the bosses will. All the bosses grant 100 reputation each when killed, with the exceptions of Golemagg who grants 150 reputation, and the final boss Ragnaros who grants 200 reputation when killed. Therefore, exalted reputation is rather difficult to achieve for players. There is bad news also if a player prefers their reputation bar to be at full or 999/1000 when they do gain exalted status, as only Golemagg and Ragnaros will give any reputation when killed, so that will take another few trips to Molten Core.
