Gaining exalted reputation with the Zandalar Tribe is a relatively easy achievement to do, and can be completed by both Horde and Alliance players.

The Zandalar Tribe are a classic faction of Trolls based on Yojamba Isle just off the north-western shore of Stranglethorn Vale. The player will earn the achievement ‘Hero of the Zandalar Tribe’ for becoming exalted with them.

Neutral Reputation with the Zandalar Tribe

A player will begin with neutral reputation with the Zandalar Tribe; reputation is increased by killing mobs in the raid instance Zul’Gurub, collecting items to be handed in for reputation and completing the small number of quests available.

Reputation Gains from Zul’Gurub

For a level 80 player, Zul’Gurub is a fun raid instance to do with friends, at the least 3 level 80 players will be required for the boss fights as some do a mind control on a player which can be nasty for the others. Reputation can be gained from killing all types of mobs in Zul’Gurub and this continues until a player is exalted. Therefore a player can go in Zul’Gurub alone; kill normal mobs and avoid the bosses and still gain a good amount of reputation.

Items Handed In for Reputation from Zul’Gurub

There are items from all different mobs in Zul’Gurub which can be handed in on Yojamba Isle for reputation. Firstly, green coins drop from most mobs in the raid, there are nine different ones and can be handed in sets of three to an NPC on the Isle.

There is no reputation level required to hand in the sets of coins, in return the player gains 25 reputation and a Zandalar Honour Token – the token grants 50 reputation when clicked. Although 75 reputation does not seem a lot, coins drop constantly in the raid and a player can soon collect plenty. Another item which drops – although less often – are Bijous, these are destroyed on an altar on Yojamba Isle.

Again there is no reputation level required to do this, however a player can pick up a quest on the Isle to destroy a Bijou for the first time, after which every Bijou destroyed will give the player 75 reputation and a Zandalar Honour Token. All of these items can be handed in until the player is exalted.

Epic Items Handed In for Reputation

When the bosses are killed in Zul’Gurub there is the chance that an epic item token will drop. These are also handed in for reputation and an epic item, although the item is only useful if a player is level appropriate.

There are tokens for Bracers, Belt and Chest piece, the tokens are classed in groups, for example a Druid cannot hand in a token which is classed for a Warrior, Hunter or Shaman. A player needs a certain reputation level to hand these in, for the Bracers: friendly, for the Belt: honoured and for the Chest piece: revered, for each the player will gain 350 reputation.

Quests for the Zandalar Tribe

The majority of quests available are to do with handing in items such as the coins and epic tokens; however the player does not need to pick the quest up before going in the raid. There is also the quest to hand in the heart of Hakkar, the main boss in Zul’Gurub which will grant 500 reputation to a player.

Epic Mount Drops in Zul’Gurub

Apart from the being the only method to become exalted with the Zandalar Tribe there is the chance of a player gaining rare epic mounts and a rare pet in Zul'Gurub. A Swift Razzashi Raptor mount drops from Bloodlord Mandokir and a Swift Zulian Tiger from High Priest Thekal. Also from killing the many Razzashi Raptors there is a small chance a Razzashi Hatchling non-combat pet will drop.

Becoming exalted with the Zandalar Tribe will give the player an achievement and another exalted reputation, in addition the trips to Zul'Gurub in order to do this offer chances of rare drops and a fair amount of gold to be earned. From the amount of hand-in items from the raid and the Zandalar Honour Tokens earned, it will not take a player long to gain exalted reputation.
