Becoming exalted with Sporeggar is a relatively easy, if not a little repetitive, faction to do. Both the Horde and the Alliance can become exalted with this faction.

The Sporeggar are based at a camp of the same name in south-western Zangarmarsh. As well as an achievement for becoming exalted, the Sporeggar offer some cooking recipes and a pet for players.

Starting as Unfriendly with Sporeggar

Unlike a number of other factions a player will begin as unfriendly with Sporeggar rather than neutral, this means a player will have to earn 3,000 reputation just to get to neutral status. Whilst generally questing in Zangarmarsh a player will encounter Sporeggar, where there will be a number of quests available, doing these will rapidly increase a players’ reputation.

Friendly Status with Sporeggar

Once a player does reach friendly status with Sporeggar a number of repeatable quests will become available, making it much easier and quicker to increase reputation. In addition these repeatable quests can be done all the way until the player is fully exalted.

Sporeggar and the Underbog

One of the items that can be repeatedly handed in for reputation – Sanguine Hibiscus – can only be found in the Underbog instance in Coilfang Reservoir. Although an experienced level 80 player can solo the Underbog, it is always quicker and easier with more players. The Sanguine Hibiscus can be handed in five at a time and will grant 750 reputation.

Fertile Spores and Glowcap Mushrooms

Players are also able to hand in six Fertile Spores with Sporeggar for reputation. Fertile Spores can be found on Sporebats and Marshwalkers wandering around Zangarmarsh, and are quite a common drop item. For every six Fertile Spores handed in a player will gain 750 reputation and a Glowcap Mushroom.

Glowcap Mushrooms are used to buy items from the Sporeggar Quartermaster; a player will be able to access more items as their reputation increases, as an example, once exalted a player will be able to purchase a Sporeggar tabard and a unique pet. Apart from receiving Glowcap Mushrooms from handing in Fertile Spores, they can be found growing throughout Zangarmarsh and can be picked up by any player. Also Glowcap Mushrooms can be handed in ten at a time for an additional 750 reputation.

Another Repeatable Quest with Sporeggar

Once a player does reach friendly status a quest will become available called ‘Now That We’re Friends’ which requires the player to kill six Bloodscale Enchantress’ and twelve Bloodscale Slavedrivers’ at Marshlight Lake just north of Sporeggar.

Once completed this quest becomes repeatable and will be called ‘Now That We’re Still Friends’. A player can do this quest as many times as they want until fully exalted and it grants 750 reputation when completed. The mobs are very easy to kill for a level 80 player and they respawn very quickly.
