Gaining Exalted Reputation with the KurenaiWorld of Warcraft Achievements for the Alliance
Becoming exalted with the Kurenai is perhaps one of the quickest and easiest to do out of all the Outland factions.
The majority of players should have completed a number of quests for the Kurenai at their base of Telaar in Nagrand. If not there will be a number of quests available. The Ogres of Southwind CleftPlayers should be familiar with this area near to Telaar after questing with the Kurenai. For killing ogres here a player will gain plus 10 reputation with the Kurenai. The ogres also respawn relatively quickly which is advantageous for level 80 players as the ogres can be killed very easily. The Ogres of Northwind CleftOn the northern side of Halaa is the Northwind Cleft area, which is exactly the same as Southwind Cleft. In both these areas there are Boulderfist Mages and Boulderfist Warriors. A player can easily switch from one area to the other to gain the maximum amount of repuatation. The Ogres of Warmaul HillThere is also a large number of ogres to be found at Warmaul Hill in north-western Nagrand. Again for killing these ogres the player will gain 10 reputation with the Kurenai. In this area there is Warmaul Champions, Warmaul Brutes, Warmaul Warlocks and Warmaul Shamans, there are a few elite ogres to be found in the caves but these do not grant any reputation. Although there is a greater variety and a larger number of ogres, they are more spread out than those at either of the clefts. In this sense it may take longer for the player to boost their reputation. Obsidian Warbeads from the OgresWhilst killing ogres a player will pick up an item called ‘Obsidian Warbeads.’ There are original quests with the Kurenai and the Consortium at their camp in Nagrand to collect these, after which the quest becomes repeatable. For handing in a stack of ten Obsidian Warbeads a player will gain 500 reputation with the Kurenai. These need to be handed in to Warden Moi’bff Jill in central Telaar. For a reputation gaining item the warbeads have a very high drop rate of around 50%, or one for every two ogres killed. Therefore exalted reputation with the Kurenai can be done much quicker than a number of other factions. Also advantageous is a player will continue to gain reputation for killing the ogres until they are fully exalted, with a number of other factions this is not the case; reputation kills will stop once a player is revered. The Diplomat AchievementA player who can spend a couple of hours in Nagrand for a few days will soon be exalted with the Kurenai. Once exalted a player will be able to buy Talbuk mounts from the Quartermaster in Telaar, in addition, being exalted with the Kurenai counts towards ‘The Diplomat’ achievement which also requires exalted reputations with the Timbermaw Hold based in Felwood and the Sporeggar of Zangarmarsh.
