These are the runes that can be found for both the Assassin and the Ritualist characters in the Guild Wars Factions release.

Runes in Guild Wars are great add-ons to armor in the game. It can boost the player’s skills and abilities in a way that the playing style is specced. It is one of the most personalized customizations in the game.

Assassin

While there are some runes in Guild Wars that are used for any class of character, these are specifically for the Assassin class character. They really are only designed for assassins, as they are class specific. All the Assassin runes are listed below.

  • Minor Critical Strikes - +1 to Critical Strikes
  • Major Critical Strikes - +2 to Critical Strikes, -35 to Health
  • Superior Critical Strikes - +3 to Critical Strikes, -75 to Health
  • Minor Dagger Mastery - +1 to Dagger Mastery
  • Major Dagger Mastery - +2 to Dagger Mastery, -35 to Health
  • Superior Dagger Mastery - +3 to Dagger Mastery, -75 to Health
  • Minor Deadly Arts - +1 to Deadly Arts
  • Major Deadly Arts - +2 to Deadly Arts, -35 to Health
  • Superior Deadly Arts - +3 to Deadly Arts, -75 to Health
  • Minor Shadow Arts - +1 to Shadow Arts
  • Major Shadow Arts - +2 to Shadow Arts, -35 to Health
  • Superior Shadow Arts - +3 to Shadow Arts, -75 to Health

As you can see, the Assassin has a rune that will give +1 to +3 in all their class abilities, depending on the rune and the rune's "grade". Keep salvaging til the rune that is perfect for the character played is found.

Ritualist

While there are some runes in Guild Wars that are good for any class of player, these are specifically for the class of the Ritualist. These runes are essentially worthless to any other character, as they are class specific. All the Ritualist runes are listed here.

  • Minor Spawning Power - +1 to Spawning Power
  • Major Spawning Power - +2 to Spawning Power, -35 to Health
  • Superior Spawning Power - +3 to Spawning Power, -75 to Health
  • Minor Channeling Magic - +1 to Channeling Magic
  • Major Channeling Magic - +2 to Channeling Magic, -35 to Health
  • Superior Channeling Magic - +3 to Channeling Magic, -75 to Health
  • Minor Restoration Magic - +1 to Restoration Magic
  • Major Restoration Magic - +2 to Restoration Magic, -35 to Health
  • Superior Restoration Magic - +3 to Restoration Magic, -75 to Health
  • Minor Communing - +1 to Communing
  • Major Communing - +2 to Communing, -35 to Health
  • Superior Communing - +3 to Communing, -75 to Health

As you can see, the runes are similar in that all have a minor, a major, and a superior version of the rune. The higher the ranking the bigger the hit to healthpoints, but the higher the boost to the skill the player is trying to raise. These are helpful additions to any armor. A player needs to find what skill is the most used for that class and game style, and add buffs accordingly. See more at Guild Wars.
