Flyff is short for the game “Fly for Fun” and is a free MMORPG. The game is Korean based and made by Aeonsoft. It was released in August of 2004 to the general public, and has been a slowly growing a fanbase ever since. The player can fly to destinations in game and it offers a pvp combat system. The ability of flying is why the game is called what it is and is a highlight to players. Flyff CharactersPlayers that start up Flyff can have up to three characters in each of the servers, and they have stats that are very similar to any other RPG game like Everquest, World of Warcraft, or even Runescape. There is Strength, Stamina, Dexterity, and Intelligence. For Strength it will affect all damage that the player gives to other creatures and players in the game. A point in strength is a five extra damage given. Stamina will affect the HP (hit points) and the player’s defense. Dexterity will affect the weapon and melee accuracy and the ability to dodge rate. It is good for bow damage too. Intelligence will help the length of buff type skills and the magic damage. The character choices on Flyff are simple and yet complex. Gamers start out as a vagrant and then can progress through jobs. These jobs are either first jobs or second jobs, and they can be varied. The first jobs are Acrobat, Assist, Mercenary, and Magician. Then the secondary job classes are Jester, Ranger, Billposter, Psykeeper, Ringmaster, Elementor, Blade, and Knight. More about these classes can be found on the Flyff website.
