Completing 700 original quests in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms is not as daunting as it may seem. This guide will offer tips in completing these achievements.

Once a player has been level 80 for some time, it may seem that there is a lack of things to do besides instances, raids and battlegrounds. The Loremaster achievement is a good option and can be done alongside other achievements such as World Explorer or Classic Dungeon-master.

The Starting Zones of Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms

Depending on a players race they may have not quested in the Kalimdor starting zones of Teldrassil or Ammen Vale. Likewise, a player might not have quested in the Eastern Kingdoms starting zones of Kharanos and Northshire either. Any of these zones will be the best place to begin for the Loremaster achievement. Also it is advisable for a player to double check their respective starting zone in case any quests were missed, also cooking and fishing quests do count.

Handing in Cloth in the Cities

The quests offered by the Alliance Cloth Quartermasters, handing in various types of cloth in lots of 60, do count only until the player hands in runecloth, only then does the quest become repeatable. It is definitely worth a player checking with the Quartermasters in each of the cities.

Alliance Quests in Horde Territory

As unlikely as it sounds there is a quest giver for both factions in Durotar. A goblin called Rezlak – stationed near Razorwind Canyon, south of Ogrimmar – offers two level 9 to 11 quests, completed very near to where he is standing. It is unlikely that the majority of players have completed these quests as level appropriate players do not normally venture into Durotar, and at a higher level players would not expect to find quests there.

Low Level Dungeon Quests

A level 80 player should be able to solo every 5 man instance in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms and there is no shortage of dungeon quests available in either zone. This can be handy if a player has not yet completed the Classic Dungeon-master achievement, or if a guild member’s alt is in need of a boost. On the other hand a number of dungeon quests do not require the player to complete the entire dungeon, the quest item may drop of the first boss or any other mobs, or it may be in a chest.

Eastern Kingdoms Quests Completed in Kalimdor and Vice Versa

It does not necessarily matter where a quest is picked up or handed in, what does matter is the zone it appears under in the player’s quest log. For example there are a few quests picked up in Ironforge which require the player to retrieve items from Felwood or Azshara and the quests are handed back in to Ironforge, the quest counts towards the Kalimdor achievement.

Likewise there are quests picked up in places such as Steamwheedle Port that come under Eastern Kingdoms and count towards that tally. This is why it is advisable to be completing both achievements at the same time.

In the end it is worth it for an epic tabard and the title.
